As winter sets in the City of Joy, we at Aludecor could not help but notice the population, who urged for warm winter clothing. Living on the verge of poverty, these people crave for some love, heart-warming conversations and empathy; they need the care of the humanitarian touch.
Meanwhile, Kolkata was coming alive with the Christmas Spirit and the fantastic lighting and street decorations, which would make anyone be joyfully surprised. At Aludecor, we also devised a plan which would spread joy everywhere, amongst all the strata of our society.
The Season of gifting inspired us to run our very own National Clothes Donation Drive “Spread the Joy of Giving” in association with Responsible Charity. We successfully circulated the CSR related communications all over India as well with our esteemed Members, without whose support Spreading the Joy of Giving would not have been possible.
Aludecor’s digital media sphere started getting a lot of appreciation mail regarding the CSR activity- Spread the Joy of Giving. Aludecorians from all over India started sending apparels. Our factories at Haridwar were gracious enough to lend their hands in providing more than 2000 items of clothing for this noble cause. Besides, our Dealers, Fabricators, Convertors and other valuable Members started sending us tons of clothing materials to be a part of “Spread the Joy of Giving. At Aludecor, “We thrive on giving back to the community as we promise to keep on investing in people and processes in order to create an ethical society.”
The articles of clothing were sorted and transformed into Care Packages. Each Care Package contained a set of clothing for an entire family- the Male, the Female and the Children.
To Spread the Joy of Giving, Audecorians along with Representatives of Responsible Charity set out to a chosen slum, one fine winter morning. Carrying a handful of Care Packages, each one of us was welcomed with a heartwarming smile and gratitude. The children greeted us with innocent smiles while the elderly shared stories of joy with us. We went around different areas of the slums, door-to-door, and distributed the Care Packages. Soon, it was time for us to bid goodbye to the numerous friends that we have made throughout the day.
The smiles of the people, back at the slums, have filled our heart with joy as we felt content and happy to have been able to share a precious smile with them all. Aludecor Cares, the CSR wing of Aludecor promises to run such activities frequently as we believe that nothing is as strong as the power of happiness and the warmth of love.
