South Korean carmaker KIA Motors celebrated its grand opening of its first showroom in India on 14 February this year at Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Called Allied Motors, the showroom has an area of 6,000 Sq. ft.
It’s cladded with Aludecor’s 3mm fire-retardant ACP Sheets which has been installed with the help of Aludecor’s Male Female Rainscreen (MFR) System.
KIA wanted the best solution for the facade that would facilitate fast installation and ensure super aesthetics and more longevity. Aludecor’s MFR system is a ventilated rainscreen system that allows ACP cladding without silicone in the grooves. It provides the option of having the same colour across the façade, through the grooves.
Saksham Signs of New Delhi, a renowned converter, installed the façade of the KIA Motors showroom. After successful installation of this showroom, KIA is employing the same installation mechanism of MFR system for all its showrooms across India.

An ACP facade installed through MFR system has grooves of minimum 3mm width – which can go up to 32mm depending on wind load, panel size and design – that grant the structure a monolithic look. It offers unmatched flatness and has no possibility of undulation.

MFR gives a ventilated façade that facilitates insulation. Clubbed with insulation materials it helps to save energy by 30% at least. An equivalent level of insulation cannot be achieved by traditional wet seal or rout and return method.
