Spaceship Earth is a geodesic sphere which acts as a symbolic structure of Epcot, a theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Spaceship Earth is a sphere supported by three pairs of legs. The architectural design was conceived by Wallace Floyd Design Group. It is an architectural wonder which especially looks beautiful after sunset when it glows owing to the LED illumination. The cladding sphere mounted on the structural dome is built with Aluminium Composite Panels. The cladding has been designed in a way so that when it rains, water does not pour off the sides of the structure to the ground. The water is collected through an inches gap in the faucets into a gutter system. The collected water is then finally channeled into the World Showcase Lagoon.
