We have celebrated Engineer’s Day 2020 with fervour this year! With Mr. Ashish Rakheja and Mr. Devesh Kumar on board, we paid our tribute to all the Engineers whose perseverance and knowledge add dimension to our Dream Spaces.
An interactive Facebook LIVE Session along with Mr. Ashish Rakheja (Thermal Engineer Chairman of the IGBC Technical Committee + Managing Partner, AEON Consultants) and the dynamic Mr. Devesh Kumar (Aludecor’s Head Product Specialist & Solutions) has helped us gain a lot of insights regarding “Net Zero Energy Building and Minimizing Heat Gain Through Facade Designing”. The interactive session under our TechTalk banner gained a lot of attention and a plethora of questions that made the Q/A session all the more engaging.
The LIVE session started with astute speculation of the concept of a “Green Building”. The importance of selecting “Green Products” and an in-depth discussion of the life cycles of different products made us realize the necessity of recycled content that needs to be present in raw materials of any building. Next, a dialogue of Lower Energy Consumption for Heat Insulation through the eyes of an Energy Consultant was brought forward.
The essential factors to be kept in mind to minimize heat gain through facade shed light on the correct types of Facade Designs that help to ensure Net Zero Energy Buildings or High-Performance Buildings. Ventilated Facades and Double Skin Facades and their roles in minimizing heat gain into space gave way to Carbon Neutral buildings and the Indian Construction Industry’s perspective on it. The Safety Measures regarding fire-related incidents for facilities were also stressed upon.
The LIVE session pledged, always to encourage “Truly Made in India” products in order to walk towards ensuring a “self-sufficient” ambience in the Indian Infrastructure and Construction Industry.
