Situated in Malad, Mumbai, the exterior beauty of the Pinnacle House welcomes you with heartwarming glamour and stunning charisma. The 3750 sq.ft. Plot Area is the Residence of Mr. Kapil Agarwal who favours amplification of spaciousness of the four-bedroom duplex apartment.
Designed by Aum Architects – the brainchild of Architect Manish Dikshit, Pinnacle House is a four-bedroom duplex that comprises of an Entrance Lobby, Bar, Dining Area, Living Room, Kitchen and a Guest Bedroom. A large balcony further enhances the Living Area and Guest Bedroom by offering a marvellous view of the city.
Design Philosophy:
Aum Architects did incredible justice to the Client’s vision which demanded inclusion of minimum barriers to instil a boundless feel. The house, with its extraordinary decor, celebrates the unique focal point of the apartment- “Height.” An eclectic Design Philosophy allowed Aum Architects to design the Entrance Lobby outside the house with Michaelangelo marble. The custom made mosaic, metal inlay and the use of wooden rafters bring out the charm of the vertical surfaces.
Design Execution:
The Living Room leads to an informal Lobby Space upon entering the luxury apartment. The dense tropical foliage that has been set up along the wall of the staircase on the right adds drama to the diagonal pattern that has been created on the floor to segregate the area. At the periphery, four fluted glass panels framed in MS frame have been placed. Smaller details make for a timeless design- and it reflects into the usage of Mother of Pearl inlay at the end of the patterned flooring. It also adds a glamorous touch to the whole set up. A chesterfield sofa in the Lobby Space compliments the lush greens facing it. A glass centre table ensures that the floor pattern is not disturbed by the furniture pieces. A small niche in the corner has been converted into a bar.
A formal Living Room comprises of a Seating Area and a Dining Area. The Dining Area has been enhanced with a vaulted ceiling. The background of the Dining Area features the silhouettes of the tropical jungle. A true scale antelope sits amongst the jungle, peeking through the partition as an element of surprise. The seating in the Living Room is more on the minimal lines with an influx of subtle modernity. An orange rust chesterfield sofa set with a black and white striped carpet forms the base of this seating. Besides, a long window opening spills over into the balcony and forms the extension of the Living Room. Custom made units that are finished in botticino marble and mirror sit on the opposite side of the Seating Area.
The balcony has been wrapped in resplendent shades of Wabi Sabi Series from the ACP giant, Aludecor. Shades CS-06 Rugged Brown and CS-08 Fossil Zinc play an important part to beautify this luxurious Apartment.
The private areas such as the Master Bedroom and the Childrens’ Bedrooms are tactically isolated. The floor-to-ceiling windows in most of the rooms add up to its beauty, highlighting it more by vertical furniture designs and panelling. Cross ventilation and natural light filtering have enriched the home with shading elements which animate spaces with the shifting of the sun rays throughout the day.

The bedroom of the Male child features a “SteamPunk” fantasy decor. Hexagonal suspended sheets make a very interesting pattern on the ceiling, which binds all the other elements of the Fiction-themed room. The bedroom of the Female Child goes around a “French Riviera” theme. Elements like brick painted walls and rustic veneers impart fresh decor.
The Master Bedroom boasts a stark black Marquina marble flooring. With the focal wall painted in the citron shade and the diagonal bands painted in a lighter tone- tropical shades dominate the space. A wire mesh tall floor lamp, and wall art adorns the wall while a leather armchair in and a coffee table make up for the relaxing corner in the bedroom. The bed back has a backlit panel, and the bed has been clad in suede leather. The Master Bedroom has a very rich South American accent and inspiration.
The hand-carved sandstone Jaali design adds up a traditional touch in the puja room and injects a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The Family Room at the upper level features a creative console, mesh chairs and a bookcase while the double-height void overlooking the breakfast table at the lower level has been clad with diamond-shaped wooden pieces.
