Zinc’s unsurpassed beauty as a cladding material has long astonished the world, and architects and designers cherish its purity. Zinc is widely used in interior and exterior building, signage, and other applications across the globe. Zinc is utilised in building in the same way as any other high-quality metal. It,
- keeps hazardous elements out
- safeguards the unit’s contents
- improves the overall quality and aesthetics of the building
Zinc is both light and robust at the same time. Its capacity to combine with or accentuate other materials, improving their sharpness, is one of its benefits over other materials. Zinc is also quite malleable.
Metal roof and wall panels in various zinc styles have a timeless appeal and offer long-term protection for future generations. Unlike hot-dipped galvanised steel panels, Zinc develops a natural patina when exposed to carbon dioxide-rich air. The patina protects against rust, salt, and other natural factors. Zinc wall panels are available in a multitude of shapes, sizes, and finishes. They can be twisted or sculpted to fit over curves or around barriers, making them highly flexible.
Aludecor Zinc Composite Panelis made with zinc coil obtained from the European nations has a zinc-titanium (Zn-Ti) top layer and an aluminium bottom layer. It comes in two grades: regular and FR. Titanium zinc alloy absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and forms a natural zinc carbonate patina that protects the surface and cures scratches and flaws over time.
The Zinc as a cladding material is exceptionally resistant to all types of weather.
- Zinc is an environmentally beneficial material since it is entirely recyclable.
- Zinc is a non-corrosive, non-rusting metal.
- Zinc is a long-lasting metal that may last up to 100 years (if put in proper weather conditions)
- Zinc is a sustainable green material that is ideal for cladding facades and roofs
- Once installed, the maintenance cost of the Zinc Composite Panel is less for a considerably long time.
- Zinc is also a fungistat, which means it inhibits mould, mildew, and fungus reproduction.
- Aludecor Zinc Composite Panel can also be made fire retardant.
- Facades, claddings, roofs, and interiors are the most common applications for Zinc wall cladding
- Zinc Composite Panels can be made with the same equipment that is used to make Aludecor MCPs.
- Fasteners and extrusions composed of aluminium, stainless steel, and galvanised steel can be used to install ZCPs.

ZCP-FR – Properties of Zinc, Protection Against Fire
The FireWall range of Zinc Composite Panels is a certified product from Aludecor. It is the only Indian brand to have received the Factory Production Control Certification of Class B-s1 d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1. The FireWall range of Class B products has also passed the NFPA 285 full-scale building test, which further signifies the best quality product to be utilized in any building. Also, the fire-rated core is an in-house product of Aludecor as we are the only Indian brand to have a palletizing line.
Aludecor has the best R&D in our range of products as the core recipe has been developed indigenously. All the batches of the product can be tested in the in-house lab that can test all the fire behaviours like heat release, ignition, flame spread, smoke produced and molten droplets according to the International Standards.
The achievement for Zinc Composite Panel has been the low melting point of Zinc and its Conductivity to heat, which the FR Core manufactured by Aludecor has controlled. The FR Core produced in-house help in cooling the temperature by using Aluminium Tri Hydrate and Magnesium Di Hydroxide, which controls the temperature and inhibits the flame spread and smoke produced.
The FPC for the product is received from Warringtonfire and is listed on its website. During the FPC, our raw materials used for manufacturing are checked.
