The spacious land was purchased by the Managing Committee to develop a "dream project" - an eye hospital that will surpass the benchmarks of excellence with its services and offerings.The design philosophy focused on functionality, patient-friendly designs and colour palettes and elevated utilitarian architecture. The elements inside the structure had to be patient-friendly so that the patients can move freely while also feeling comfortable within the elements of the space. The colour palette has been kept to be visually soothing and appealing so as to instil a feeling of calm to the patients in need. The materials used to design the structure were decided to be of easy maintenance as cleaning and hygiene are stressed upon by the authority.
