Aludecor Introduced Colour of the Year 2020: ‘The Spices of Life’

Aludecor is back with the most awaited annual Colour of the Year Series. After the massive success of Colour of the Year 2019 Series that raved about terracotta, this year we celebrate the vivid colours of life with the “Colour of the Year 2020 Series”. Taking inspiration from the varied perspective of emotions and mixing it up with the symbolism of warm Oriental spices, we bring you five new colour shades- developed with passion and integrity.

For the Colour of the Year 2020 Series, we have introduced five new shades of ACP sheets, that represent the omnipresent emotions of human life. Personifying the different shades and hues of the human intellect, Aludecor Colour of the Year 2020 contains an earthy palette that features warm and neutral undertones.

Doric Star Anise

Star Anise – the signature ingredient of the Chinese five-spice powder makes its appearance in Aludecor’s COTY 2020 Spicebox. The shade MT-5015 Doric Star Anise is synonymous with Oriental aromatherapy and culinary forms of art. Its greyish brown colour never fails to enthral, while the prominent star shape adds to its beauty. The shade MT-5015, Doric Star Anise, reminds us of the valuable bonds that we gain and cherish throughout our lifetime.

Earthy Cinnamon

To adorn the COTY 2020 Spicebox, we have included shade MT-5016, Earthy Cinnamon. This shade represents barks of the aromatic condiment – Cinnamon. The mid-brown shade stands for everything flavourful, soothing, warm and stable. The shade MT-5016, Earthy Cinnamon reminds one of the intensities of life.

Bonbon Ginger

Next, to add a splash of vehemence, we have included shade MT-5017, Bonbon Ginger. Influenced by the wrinkly surface of dried and glazed ginger, we have included this resplendent dark brown shade to our COTY 2020 Spicebox. A mirror to Oriental traditions, the shade MT-5017 Bonbon Ginger reminds one of the values of deep-rooted traditions.

Verdant Wasabi

Wasabi- the famous ground rhizome paste has also found its place in our COTY 2020 Spicebox. With its artisanal flavour and trademark pungency, Wasabi has been our inspiration for the bright green shade MT-5018 Verdant Wasabi. The shade is ideal for adding a spark to your design philosophy- similar to the tingling sensation that Wasabi imparts, once it touches the human palate. A representative of fierceness in our life, this shade stands for unapologetic courage, bold choices and subtle youthfulness.

Feral Lemongrass

Last but not least, we have added a touch of zesty freshness to our COTY 2020 Spicebox. Shade TR-555 Feral Lemongrass is the quintessential hue that represents joy, happiness and laughter. Inspired by the highly aromatic plant of the grass family, we wanted to bring you a melody of warm mid-toned brown and bright green colour. Thus, shade TR-555 Feral Lemongrass represents freshness, clarity and clairvoyance – much-needed elements of the multi-faceted human life.
